This was day number two with my new team. Well, full day number two. But that's besides the point.
Day one was a trip to Tokyo. It was AMAZING. It was how I imagined it. I only wish I could capture it in photos, and in words. But I couldn't. I will need to tell you in person. I'm also really tired, and really don't feel like going into detail.
Day two was our first ministry day. We had an English lunch party, and we got to talk to many amazing people. There was one guy who was not a Christian, but I've never seen anyone who more about to convert than him. It was amazing to speak with the people, and learn more about them. I had a great time, as I also hosted the lunch. Not like I did much, because everything I said had to be translated. Then we were invited to the sunday school leaders house, which was a ways away, and we ended up back in Tokyo. We had the most amazing supper I've had since we got here. Then there was ONE HOUR OF FIREWORKS!!! It was the most amazing firework show I've ever seen!! I had so much fun watching the fireworks...I didn't know what to do with myself!
Now we're back, and ready for tomorrow. I miss everyone at home, especially my family...and my girlfriend. Love you all, God bless!!!

Today was team-splitting day. Alyssa and I said our goodbyes as the team headed off to Hoshida church. We then took a quick nap (while secretly laughing at our team because they could not) and then proceeded to get on the train. A bunch of transfers got us to the Shinkansen (bullet train) and we were off to Yokohama.
The train ride wasn't interesting, other than the fact that I was actually ON A BULLET TRAIN (something I've always wanted to do). The interesting part came with getting off the train. Alyssa and I made it off just fine, but Lisa and Kyle, the two people who were meeting us there (and happened to be on the same train) didn't, and we spent the next two hours waiting for them to figure it out and find their way back to Shin-Yokohama. It all turned out fine, and we were driven to our church, Meguminooka. The people welcomed us with a beautiful supper, complete with real American hamburger. It was a nice change from Japanese food. Well, we still had rice. But we now realize that rice is mandatory with every meal.
I have already fallen in love with the people here, and I'm really excited to get to spend more time with these people, and learn more about them. I have six nights here, and I hope to make the best of every day that follows! Tomorrow, we tour TOKYO! Yeah, now you're all jealous. This will be a great experience, and I'm really excited to see the world's largest city, with 39 million people. Basically, it's like seeing all of Canada in one day!

Yesterday was an exciting day. At 10am we left the seminary and headed to Hirano Hope Chapel, located in...you guess it...Osaka!
The morning was just practice to make sure we were ready for the day. The afternoon is where the real fun began. Kids came piling in, and we helped run a VBS program for about thirty kids. We sang songs, played games, and did some very random things, and then headed downstairs for a carnival. The carnival had snow cones, taconaki (octopus balls), throwing games, card games, and a fishing game. All in all, a really great time, and I really enjoyed being a part of it.
The evening was an English celebration night (they had it spelt 'Engrish Selebration'). We met with a bunch of adults who were taking English classes at the church. We worshiped with them, shared a testimony, played some games, then went downstairs for some fellowship time. I got to talk to a lot of different people, and had some great conversations with them. It was great getting to know these people, and it broke down a lot of stereotypes that I may have had of them. For example, they are hilarious, and are always laughing. They were very curious about me, and while it was a little weird, it was nice to know that they really, truly cared.
Today I'm leaving to Yokohama, and I'm very excited. Making this trip with just Alyssa and I, so pray we don't get lost or that nothing goes wrong.
I miss all of you. God bless everyone!

July 18th was a wonderful day, and I'd like to let you know how it went.
We started at 9am with two church services, where we preformed the Lifehouse Everything drime, and the preacher then talked about it. Or, I was told he talked about it. I didn't understand a word he said. Guess that's normal for me already. We were told the drimes were very powerful, and I hope they touched someones life in that church.
Afterwards there was lunch at the church, where I had a chance to talk to a lot of people, and learn a bit more about the people I knew, and learn a lot more about the people I didn't.
The final mission event for this church was a fellowship party after the lunch. We introduced ourselves in the opposite language then what we speak. There were some awesome games, one that our team came up with, and one that the church group came up with. They were really fun, except I lost, so Rebecca and I had to drink a 'special' drink. By that, we mean the most disgusting thing you could ever foresee yourself drinking. However, we both downed it and moved on. We got justice by making two more people drink when they WON the next game.
After that, we headed back to EBS, and that concluded our stay at Amagasaki. It was a wonderful experience, and I can't wait for the next church mission to come!
